Research and corrections

Know what a guide is based on.

What our sources can tell you

Official tool documentation supports facts about features, limits and policies. Marketplace research can suggest a kind of work is bought on that platform. Neither tells us that a beginner will find a buyer, or how much they will earn.

Evidence labels

  • Source checked: the cited page was read on its recorded access date.
  • Illustrative example: original teaching material, not a client delivery or earned-income case study.
  • Self-reported result: a person’s claim, if included later, is labeled and separated from independently reviewed evidence.

Our publishing checklist

  1. Identify the question and avoid duplicating an existing page.
  2. Check source claims and describe their limitations.
  3. Create a usable example and a complete free starter task.
  4. Validate metadata, links and private-content boundaries.
  5. Review the rendered page and approve the Git change before production release.

Dates and corrections

A substantive review date changes when a meaningful step, source or limitation changes. A new build alone does not refresh it. We correct broken steps and material errors, and record changes in Git.

To report a correction, include the page URL, the statement and a supporting source through Contact. Do not send private client documents or payment details.
