A useful page handoff tells the buyer where the approved page lives, what you checked, how its contact route works and who owns ongoing decisions. For a page serving paid visitors, sending an HTML file is one step in the job. The agreed publication and live checks must also be completed.
This hypothetical example follows a business with an existing website-bound campaign for one defined service. No actual campaign, budget, live page, receipt test or paid job is supplied. The owner's qualified publisher controls hosting and release; the ad manager controls traffic.
Confirm the job is a useful page for this traffic
Before selling the page, record the actual ad, destination, date and specific customer answer or action missing there. Confirm current paid use, actual marketing spending or allowance, customer/job economics in broad terms and a reachable budget approver. An old website or a higher-value industry alone does not establish need.
A Local Services Ads-only call/message route does not automatically send visitors to an external page. Confirm a website-bound campaign and a defined offer. If the existing destination already answers it and works, another page may add little value.
Your brief should already name the publisher, accepted page address, approved facts/assets and working contact destination. A beginner pilot does not quietly add secure intake, booking/payment systems, DNS changes, campaign management or complex tracking.
Check the exact version before publication
Read the actual page against approved service facts, audience, area, limits and next action. Check real image rights and remove unapproved reviews, prices, guarantees or availability claims. Inspect phone/desktop layout, readable text, headings, keyboard focus and every link. Ask the owner to approve the exact page version.
If the page links to an existing contact form, confirm the destination and response owner. Agree any receipt test with the owner and qualified publisher. A form's success message does not prove an inquiry reached the business. A new form that you cannot safely configure is separate qualified work.
For local practice, a file on your computer is not a live website and its demo button may send nothing. Label that exercise honestly. It can teach layout and handoff, but it is not a finished destination for paid traffic.
Make publication responsibilities explicit
The owner's business controls its domain, hosting, campaign and form provider. The qualified publisher confirms the accepted address and can restore the previous version. If access is necessary, use an approved invited role within your ability and remove it when the job ends; never ask for passwords or two-factor codes.
Use one short pre-publication note:
The approved review version is [version/location]. It explains [defined offer] using [approved fact and asset versions]. The agreed contact route is [exact existing destination], handled by [response owner]. I checked [actual facts, layouts, keyboard and links]; [unperformed check or dependency] is still open. [Publisher] will publish this exact approved version at [accepted address] and keep [recovery copy]. [Ad manager] controls when traffic is directed there. Please confirm that the content and intended version are approved.
Keep the review private as agreed. An unlinked page is not necessarily access-protected. Do not include credentials in the note.
Check the actual live page and contact receipt
After the qualified publisher launches the approved version, open the real address while signed out. Check styles and images, approved copy, phone/desktop behavior, keyboard links and the next action. Test the actual live route rather than assuming the preview and final page behave the same.
If the agreement includes a permitted test enquiry, follow the owner's procedure and have the named recipient confirm receipt. Use test details the owner authorizes; do not send real customer information or repeatedly submit messages. Record the test and result, or leave receipt marked not tested. Pause the traffic switch if a required check fails, fix the cause with the responsible person and retest.
The ad manager decides when to change the campaign destination. The page builder's approval does not grant authority to spend money or change ads. Publication also does not establish a conversion improvement.
Send a complete handoff note
Once the agreed checks are actually complete, adapt this note with true information:
The live page is [actual address and approved version]. It explains [one offer] and uses [working contact route], received by [response owner]. The editable files or owner-held builder location are [ ].
Checks completed: [actual devices/widths, content, styles, keyboard, links and contact result]. Remaining limits or not-tested items: [ ]. [Publisher] controls publishing and retains [prior version/recovery route]. [Ad manager] controls ads and tracking.
Your business owns [domain, hosting and contact/form accounts] and pays their actual renewals. The agreed page fee covers [creation, revision, checks, publication coordination and handoff]; ongoing bills, campaign work and later updates are separate. Defect support and retention follow [actual agreed terms].
Please confirm that this exact live page and handoff match our agreement and the contact route works for you.
Do not invent a fee, deadline, receipt or finished test to make the note sound complete. Keep acceptance and actual money received as separate records. If the agreement has a final payment milestone, request it according to those terms and verify the matching receipt.
Ask separately before naming the business, showing its project images or publishing a portfolio link. Permission to build its page does not automatically grant public proof rights.
Leave a useful editing and recovery path
Show the owner or publisher how to make one appropriate draft change in the tool they actually use and how to restore the previous approved version. Explain draft, preview and publish controls plainly. A supplied HTML file needs an editor to change it and a browser to inspect it; editing a local file does not update the live website.
Agree who checks later changes and the working contact route. Offer another paid update only when a fact, offer or useful need actually changes, with its own scope, fee, dates and approval. Do not invent monthly maintenance or unlimited support because a page exists.
Your next step
Write a handoff note for your practice page stating the local review location, editable files, checks actually done, demo-only contact behavior and one recovery step. Ask a willing person to follow it. Then use the ad-page service to qualify a real visitor route, budget, publisher and contact process before proposing a paid pilot.
